Patrick Beuckels has shown merit as performing musician. International music magazines like ‘La Traversière’, ‘Diapason’ and ‘Répertoire’ have praised his recordings of the flutesonates of G.F. Händel and the chamber music collection from W.F. Bach (both by Ricercar).
His walls can be covered with impressive documents: high diploma for flute, academic degrees for musicology and candidate in law.
Being a teacher at the ‘Stedelijk Conservatorium Brugge’, he leads the new generation flute players (blowing or whispering). Conducting a choir opens a new challenge: he has lead the Bladelin-ensemble since the end of 2000.
